Gnocchi, a beloved Italian classic, is crafted with potatoes, flour and sometimes eggs or cheese, with origins tracing back to ancient Rome.

Made from the finest ingredients, Pompeian’s Organic Gnocchi can be boiled, pan-fried or baked and pairs perfectly with tomato sauce, pesto, or your favorite Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

HOW TO COOK

BOIL (Tender Texture)

  1. Boil gnocchi in lightly salted
    water until they float (two minutes), which will indicate their readiness.
  2. Strain and serve with your preferred sauce.

PAN-FRY (Crispy Texture)

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add gnocchi.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until crisp (10-15 minutes).
  3. Serve sautéed gnocchi with a light sauce.

BAKE (Crispy Top, Tender Bottom)

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Evenly spread gnocchi in a baking dish.
  3. Pour your chosen sauce on top and bake for about 20 – 25 minutes.

CRISPY BACON PESTO GNOCCHI

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 slices of bacon, chopped
  • Seasoned salt and pepper
  • 1-2 Tablespoons of Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 pack of Pompeian
  • Organic Gnocchi
  • 1/4 cup of Kirkland
  • Signature Basil Pesto
  • Chopped fresh basil

instructions

  1. Brown and crisp the bacon in a nonstick skillet or pan, then set them aside.
  2. Place the gnocchi in the same skillet, arranging them into a single layer. Saute until the bottom turns golden and they become tender (4-6 min).
  3. Reduce the heat to medium-low, then add the pesto sauce and bacon. Stir to combine and heat all the ingredients before serving.
