David Bensadoun

“We spread love through olive oil. We want to share our love of the Earth and of the trees, and we want to share this product with more people.”

After a valiant and determined battle with cancer, our courageous leader David Bensadoun, Co-CEO of Pompeian, passed away on July 26, 2024. David was at his home surrounded by his parents, children and loved ones at the time of his passing.

At Pompeian’s helm, David inspired and led The Olive Oil People – a team
of hundreds of farmers, craftspeople and staff in Baltimore and around
the world. David was loved and respected for his uniqueness,
enthusiasm, boundless energy, values and wisdom.

His passion for helping people eat and live well served as the heartbeat
of our company, and his integrity, strength, and love are part of the
immense legacy he is leaving— as well as his beautiful children, his
countless friendships, and deep love for us, The Olive Oil People.

“Like the strongest tree in the grove, David weathered a beautiful life, giving back more to his environment and those he loved than what he took from this earth.”
