Meet Francisco V.

FRANCISCO FELL IN LOVE WITH FARMING WHEN HE WAS JUST TEN YEARS OLD. To this day, he still feels excited when the trees start to bloom because it's finally time to start harvesting the ripe, juicy olives. “I think that hard work and effort always bears fruit," he says.

EVERY MORNING, HE ENJOYS A HEARTY BREAKFAST of toast, ibérico ham and extra virgin olive oil before setting off to the farm. He often works alongside his best friend, also named Francisco. They spend their days reminiscing about all the mischief they got into back in the day. After work, the two Francisco's can be spotted taking a leisurely stroll through the groves, or perhaps they'll even venture into town. "I'm proud that everyone in my town really appreciates and respects me," he says.

Hailing from a long line of farmers, Francisco may be a modern-day olive tree whisperer. He enthusiastically speaks to the trees for good luck. No word on whether or not they answer back, but Francisco does make a point to say,

"I THINK THE OLIVE TREESREALLY LIKE IT
WHEN I TALK
TO THEM."
