Baltimore has remained at the heart of Pompeian’s story for more than a century. After relocating to the city in 1910, Pompeian established its permanent home on Pulaski Highway, where we continue to operate today.

Pompeian relocates to Baltimore and sets down roots on Pulaski Highway — the same site we call home today.

The Hoffberger family — iconic Baltimore entrepreneurs and owners of the Baltimore Orioles — acquires the company, turning a regional favorite into America’s first nationally distributed olive oil brand.

As the country embraced authentic Mediterranean cooking, Pompeian became a trusted staple in kitchens nationwide — all while proudly calling Baltimore home.
That commitment to Baltimore extends far beyond our facility. For more than 100 years, we’ve believed that being part of this city means investing in the people and communities that make it strong.
From supporting local nonprofits and community organizations to creating jobs, welcoming schools and community groups through our doors, and continuing to expand our operations in Baltimore, we’re proud to give back to the city that has helped shape our success. As we continue to grow, our commitment to Baltimore remains as strong as ever.
