2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt or table salt
3/4 cup Pompeian Made Easy Bake olive oil
1/2 cup warm water


Filling ingredients:

6 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
2 Tablespoons flour
2/3 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
1/4 teaspoon maple extract OR 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups chopped pecans


  1. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together flour and salt. Add olive oil and water and mix quickly with a rubber spatula until it all comes together in a ball.
  2. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough (this makes 2 8 inch pie crusts)
  5. Press into a pie pan
  6. Bake crust in preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, until lightly browned. And set aside
  7. In a medium mixing bowl add brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, maple syrup, sat, flour and whisk well.
  8.  Add melted butter and whisk until well combined
  9.  Fold in chopped pecans.
  10. Add mixture into cooled pie crust and lower oven to 350
  11. Bake for 45-60 minutes or until the center has only a slight jiggle. Allow to cool before cutting!
