INGREDIENTS

1/2 sourdough bread loaf (~ 6 cups cubed)
1/4 cup Pompeian Robust Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Pinch of salt
1/2 – 1 teaspoon black pepper (depending on your preferences)
1/2 cup Pecorino Romano cheese (+ more to sprinkle on top)

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut bread into equally sized cubes.
  3. Coat bread in olive oil and mix.
  4. Add Pecorino Romano cheese, pepper, and salt. Mix and make sure the bread cubes are fully coated.
  5. Place the cubes on a prepared sheet, top with extra cheese, and place in the oven. Bake for about 20 minutes or until desired crispiness. Make sure to flip halfway.
  6. Let croutons cool completely. Add to your favorite soup, salad, or pasta dish. Store in an airtight container.
