INGREDIENTS

1 ½ cup rolled oats
1 cup All purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon nutmeg, ¼ teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup milk of choice
¼ cup Made Easy Pompeian Bake Olive Oil
⅓ cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup grated carrots

 

Add ons:

¼ cup Brown sugar
½ cup walnuts
½ cup chopped pineapple
½ cup Raisins

Extra Pompeian Bake olive oil to coat the pan

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking powder, walnuts, (add ins of choice) cinnamon, nutmeg and sea salt.
  3. Add in egg, milk, Pompeian Made Easy Bake oil, maple syrup and vanilla. stir until well-combined.
  4. Pour oat mixture into a prepared 9-inch baking dish and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Let the carrot cake bars sit for 5 minutes then remove from pan. let cool completely before icing
