INGREDIENTS
1 ½ cup rolled oats
1 cup All purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons cinnamon, ¼ teaspoon nutmeg, ¼ teaspoon salt
1 egg
1 cup milk of choice
¼ cup Made Easy Pompeian Bake Olive Oil
⅓ cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup grated carrots
Add ons:
¼ cup Brown sugar
½ cup walnuts
½ cup chopped pineapple
½ cup Raisins
Extra Pompeian Bake olive oil to coat the pan
PREPARATION
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking powder, walnuts, (add ins of choice) cinnamon, nutmeg and sea salt.
- Add in egg, milk, Pompeian Made Easy Bake oil, maple syrup and vanilla. stir until well-combined.
- Pour oat mixture into a prepared 9-inch baking dish and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the carrot cake bars sit for 5 minutes then remove from pan. let cool completely before icing
