INGREDIENTS
1/2 sourdough bread loaf (~ 6 cups cubed)
1/4 cup Pompeian Robust Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Pinch of salt
1/2 – 1 teaspoon black pepper (depending on your preferences)
1/2 cup Pecorino Romano cheese (+ more to sprinkle on top)
PREPARATION
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut bread into equally sized cubes.
- Coat bread in olive oil and mix.
- Add Pecorino Romano cheese, pepper, and salt. Mix and make sure the bread cubes are fully coated.
- Place the cubes on a prepared sheet, top with extra cheese, and place in the oven. Bake for about 20 minutes or until desired crispiness. Make sure to flip halfway.
- Let croutons cool completely. Add to your favorite soup, salad, or pasta dish. Store in an airtight container.
