Meet Emilina
A FARMER SINCE 1965, EMILINA ABSOLUTELY LOVES TO COOK. You'll often find her in the kitchen whipping up traditional recipes, although lately she's been making dishes with a more modern touch. Her favorite indulgence right now? "French fries with EVOO."
HER FAMILY IS PRESUMABLY MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP DEVOUR THESE FRIES,
particularly after they’ve all had a long day out in the field. Like Emilina, her husband and son are both farmers. So are her parents and in-laws. “My son is my favorite friend in the field,” Emilina says. “It makes me so happy to see how much he enjoys farming.”
As she goes about her day working among the olive trees, Emilina puts her mind, body and soul into every single task. She firmly believes in teamwork and treating each farmer with the respect they deserve. A farmer her whole life, Emilina prides herself on doing the job well. A proud wife and mom, Emilina recounts the strong role her female peers play on the farm.
