Meet EVA

PROUDLY FOLLOWING IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF HER PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS,

Eva has been a farmer since 2015. “My family has always worked among the olive trees,” she says, “and l'd often visit the farm as a child.” To this day, one tree is particularly close to her heart: “It's the tree we planted when I was a little girl; where my mother would sit in the shade."

EVA DESCRIBES HERSELF AS

"an open, hardworking, happy person. I'm very family-oriented.” Though farming remains one of her greatest joys in life, she also enjoys reading, traveling and cooking. Naturally, she uses olive oil regularly in the kitchen... but don't ask her for a favorite recipe. "I don't have one," she says, “because I use olive oil in all my dishes. I just love the flavor."

Eva is thrilled to see that so many women are becoming farmers. "Everyone in my town works in the field," she says. “Many women become 100% dedicated to the farm when their parents can no longer do the work.”

"IT GIVES ME GREAT PRIDE TO KNOW THAT WOMEN CAN DO ANYTHING WHEN WE PUT IN THE EFFORT."
