Meet MANUEL

MANUEL IS A MAN OF MANY TALENTS.

An olive farmer since 1950, he’s also a beloved merchant, teacher and author. Despite these impressive achievements, Manuel is especially proud to be continuing his family’s tradition of olive farming.

"MY ENTIRE FAMILY HAS WORKED IN AGRICULTURE, AND MY GRANDCHILDREN WILL FOLLOW IN OUR FOOTSTEPS. THEY'LL BE THE SEVENTH GENERATION."

MANUEL'S LIFE PHILOSOPHY IS SIMPLE AND SUPERB,

much like the olive trees he nurtures: “Be happy and be a source of joy to others. Keep working, evolving and innovating.” That tireless work ethic is reflected in his daily routine: Every morning, he heads out to the fields at 6 a.m. to work, while evenings are reserved for writing.

Manuel’s fondest memory on the farm harkens back to his youth: “My grandfather Juan would take me through the olive trees on Molinero, a white donkey.” His knowledge of the land is so vast, he even has a favorite tree amongst the thousands to be found in Málaga, Spain. “The tree is up there in years, but it still bears plenty of olives. It’s beautiful and always in great shape.”
